Congratulations to Melissa Leone, Executive Director of Nursing for Coram, who has received the 2022 Lynn Giglione Women in Leadership Award from the National Home Infusion Association. This award honors trail-blazing and emerging women leaders who have demonstrated exemplary service to patients and peers.
Melissa has dedicated her career to home and ambulatory infusion – making sure patients receive the care they need in a timely, convenient way – and with heart.
Melissa has been with the company for more than 31 years. Her progression through a succession of roles over the years was in sync with a series of acquisitions, and included regional pharmacy operations as well as national clinical leadership. She is currently the Executive Director of Nursing Operations and provides a strong foundation for leading the nursing division.
Melissa also has been involved with the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) for more than 20 years. She led the Education Committee responsible for the content at the annual conference for several years, and has presented and published nationally at NHIA, INS and NIOSH, ensuring that home infusion outcomes, research and inclusion in the development of national standards was well-represented. She enjoys her role in supporting the home infusion nurse to provide high quality, cost-effective patient care, that ensures good patient outcomes. “I am humbled by receipt of the Lynn Giglione Women in Leadership Award, as I knew Lynn, and everything that she contributed to home infusion. We were fortunate to have her model nursing leadership in the home infusion arena at its best.”
Coram is proud to have such a strong, experienced and beloved nursing professional leading our team.
